(76) "Rosa Multiflora" 6/1/10
Although considered an invasive species in North America, the Multiflora Rose is a wonderful looking and sweet smelling shrub. They grow thick and have thorns, but when growing wild I think they are great this time of year. Found a large shrub blossoming on a nice woodsy walk. Taken Sunday on a beautiful day before all of the recent rain. Found a nice patch of Oxeye Daises in full bloom, my first daisy find of the season. Was quite excited - been waiting for them :) So there I am, about 3 inches from the blossom, happily snapping away when all of a sudden [insert dramatic music].... to be continued.....<br />
